Iyonnah Wheeler

Intern, BA, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville
MSW expected December 2026

Supervised by Patti Davenport, LCSW

Meet Iyonnah.

Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming, and my goal is to provide a supportive, welcoming space from the very first session.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Social Work at Chamberlain University as I work toward LCSW licensure. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families, with a particular passion for supporting teens and older children.

My interests include trauma-informed care and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and I continue to explore additional approaches to best meet each client’s needs. Drawing from both life experience and professional work with youth and older adults, I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered.

If you’re ready to take the next step, I would be honored to support you on your journey.

Insurance accepted: Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, Healthlink

Iyonnah will begin seeing clients this September.
At this time, she is observing sessions for her internship. If you are comfortable with Iyonnah joining your sessions, or you would like to be added to the waitlist to see her in September, please let us know.

"People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don't find myself saying, 'Soften the orange a bit on the right hand corner.' I don't try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds."
